EPS Korean: speak on the factory floor, not just pass the test

The EPS-TOPIK Korean test checks reading and listening with multiple-choice questions. But once you arrive in Korea, the first things you need are to understand your team leader, report a broken machine, ask for sick leave and know your rights. The MOMIC EPS program practises exactly these situations out loud, with the AI playing your employer and team leader.

About the exam and the program

  • The Korean test has 20 reading and 20 listening questions, all multiple choice with 4 options, 100 points in total, about 50 minutes.
  • There is no fixed pass mark: candidates above the minimum score for their sector are ranked from the top down until the quota is filled.
  • In Vietnam, round 1 is the Korean test and round 2 is a skills test and competency assessment; in 2026 the Department of Overseas Labour is selecting 4,200 workers (manufacturing 3,000, fishing 1,000, forestry 150, services 50).
  • In Vietnam, giving false information cancels your result and bars you from the EPS test for 4 years. Passing both rounds still does not guarantee a job.

What you should know before you start

MOMIC does not sell places to work in Korea and never promises that you will pass. Test dates, applications and quotas always follow the official announcements of your country's EPS agency. Practise the multiple-choice reading and listening sections with the official sample papers as well.

Frequently asked questions

Can MOMIC replace an EPS preparation class?

Not completely. MOMIC is strong where test-prep classes are usually weak: listening and speaking in real situations. Combine it with the official sample papers for the reading and listening sections.

I can't read Korean yet. Can I still start?

Yes. The first unit teaches greetings with Latin romanization and a translation; you listen, speak and get used to Hangeul at the same time.

Who runs the EPS test?

HRD Korea, together with the sending agency in each partner country. Follow the official announcements of your country's agency and never pay anyone who promises a guaranteed pass.
